
There’s nothing like getting delicious local produce, meats and prepared goods grown close to home. New Seaton is located just minutes away from some of the most bountiful farm land in the province. You can sample a wonderful selection vendors when you visit the Pickering Famers’ Market. Located on The Esplanade South right next to Pickering City Hall, the Farmers’ Market is open every Tuesday from June 5 2018 to October 2nd 2018 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm. There are numerous amazing vendors to discover, but here are a few featured vendors to give you a sense of everything you can enjoy here.

FORSYTHE FAMILY FARM
This family run farm is based on a deep commitment to the local foods movement. Each week they bring a wonderful selection of seasonal fruits, vegetables and cider to give you a taste of fresh food grown close to home. Forsythe Farm itself also makes for a great family day trip. Located just a short drive north in Greenbank, it’s known for its hiking trails, Barnyard Adventure Playground, Weekend Wagon Rides and Farm Market Story.

Albion Hills Farm is another excellent local vendor that offers an impressive selection of local cured meats. Favourites such as procchuto, salami, pepperoni and more make Albion Hills a favourite choice with visitors to the Pickering Farmers’ Market.

In addition to the farm vendors at the Pickering Farmers’ Market, there’s also a great selection of prepared goods vendors for you to enjoy. This summer you will be able to sample gourmet food truck delicacies such as the Ecuadorian Cuisine of La Fiesta, the tasty burgers of Born 2 Eat, the delicious Glazed Pork Ribs of 6 Spice Rack, and more. There’s also prepared food vendors such as British Baked Good, Crown Valley Bakery and EastEnd Vegan. Not to mention artisan soap and craft vendors, and quality local vintages from Port Perry’s own OCALA Winery.
