The Toronto Zoo is always a great place to spend a day. And, since it’s only a 10-minute drive from New Seaton, it might even be worth getting a membership. With great new animals and features coming in all the time, there’s no telling what fun you’ll run into on your next trip. Let’s take a peek at some of the new additions at the Toronto Zoo.

Babies, babies everywhere!
Part of the Toronto Zoo’s mandate is to help endangered species thrive. They do this with a world class breeding program. They just said goodbye to the Pandas after successfully mating them. Now there are a new class of babies roaming around the zoo. There’s a baby Western Lowland Gorilla, two baby rhinos, one white rhino and the other a greater one-horned rhino, and an endangered pygmy hippo baby who is the newest of the bunch. Make sure you get to the Zoo while they’re still young and adorable!

Add a bit of zip to your next trip
The Zoo has added a zipline and canopy tour that allows you to head to the treetops and get a different view of the area. Situated on the Rouge Valley, flying through the sky at more than 40km/hr will give you a new rush and appreciation for some of the faster animals at the zoo. With beautiful scenery all around, this attraction is sure to keep you coming back all year long.

Want to monkey around?
The new Gorilla Climb ropes course is a great way to live like a primate for a little while. This ropes course is not only challenging and fun, but it also gives you a new perspective on the gorilla habitat. You can climb up three levels of apparatuses to really give yourself a challenge. It’s not a race so everyone can go at their own pace.
Open year-round there’s no bad time to come to the zoo. With fun activities going on all the time, keep checking their website for the right exhibit for you and your family.
